Hands Talk Exhibitions: Sawyer Yards, Houston, TX in 2025, Arts Council of Princeton, NJ, January, 2026 and Coming this Fall, an Expanded Version at Artworks Trenton, NJ

Hands are powerful communicators. Hands Talk is a mixed media exhibition—created with paper and acrylic on stretched canvas—that explores how hands express, connect, and convey meaning. From signlanguage to symbolic gesture, hands speak volumes. Hands in handcuffs point to both the literal and. symbolic restriction of freedom. The racially diverse hands throughout the work highlight the beautydiversity brings to our world, as well as the complexity it adds to communication and connection. Created during a time when the rights and freedoms of many are being limited, this exhibition seeks to raiseawareness, inspire dialogue, and encourage positive, multicultural engagement. It is also a reminder of thestrength, grace, and power held in our own hands.
