My abstract paintings are created with acrylic only using brushes and mark making tools. I love the freedom and the challenge of doing abstract art. I use an immersive approach, not pre-planned, letting the painting speak to me as I go. Brushes and mark making tools are

Mixed Media
My mixed media work often involves a lot of papers and some acrylic paint on stretched canvas. In addition I use acrylic when creating the papers. Sometimes I use papers from my vast colleciton. Sometimes I also adhere objects and/or sew on the canvas.

Mosaic Style
What I call my mosaic-style are paintings I have created with papers, leaving spaces between them as the grout lines. I am Inspired by Gaudi and Fuster’s work

Other
In college I was a theater design major. I created giant puppets and masks. Now I create what I call “door dolls”, guardian angels for people’s homes, whimsical bowls, fun bag tags, colorful coasters and other things using scraps from my paper collection, sticks I collect and lots of other found objects.
