Warning is part of A Spectrum for Now series which is about color and symbol. Colors often have many symbolic meanings. Choosing colors that mattered to me at this point in time, I created black-line symbols that represent a symbolic meaning of the chosen color. I also decided to create using certain rules. These included: • One color family explored in many values and patterns. • One bold, iconic symbol. • One cutting language for each piece that reinforces the idea (e.g. Water papers are cut in waves) • Use collage materials to create complexity; use a symbol to bring clarity.
